I can no longer install a control surface if I select Mackie Control. Instead of Mackie Control showing up after I add it (-1) shows up and the device will not connect. This never happened until I installed the October 2019 Windows 10 Upgrade. This happens in Bandlab Cakewalk (latest version) as. Use the links on this page to download the latest version of Onyx Blackjack Audio drivers. All drivers available for download have been scanned by antivirus program.
I had the same problem with my HP elitebook but I was able to resolve the issue by downloading the audio driver and software from the HP website:
http://www8.hp.com/us/en/drivers.html
Just type in your product name and select the audio driver. Dont rely on automatic detection or HP Support Assistant.
For me it was a .exe file which installed both the IDT Audio software and drivers.
I hope this works for you,
Good luck!
EDIT: If your 'select OS' to your device, after typing in your product name, doesn't include windows 10, just select whatever you had previously.

PROBLEM SOLVED
Windows 10 home edition, HP Compaq C500 (c581wm)
Conexant High Definition SmartAudio HD2 Driver (for sound, video and game controller) does NOT work with windows 10 !
High Definition Audio Device Driver DOES WORK!
This is how mine was fixed
-
If reinstalling the driver doesn't work, then try using the generic audio driver that comes with Windows. Here's how: in Device Manager, right-click (or tap and hold) your audio driver > Update driver software... > Browse my computer for driver software > Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer, select High Definition Audio Device, select Next, and then follow the rest of the instructions to install it.
